FarmWizard will be demonstrating some great EID solutions at this years higland show

This week FarmWizard announced attractive offers for the Royal Highland Show 25th-29th June, including a draw for a free PDA phone valued at £210, and discounted Electronic tag readers. The draw is open to anyone who completes an enquiry form, on the stand located on Avenue F, 124A
FarmWizard’s EID solution can be tailored to the specific requirements of a farming business, whether it’s a dairy, beef or suckler unit. At Slacks Farm, Lochmaben, Dumfries, the efficiency of this flexible and easy to use technology is perfectly demonstrated
“Although our dairy herd are already electronic tagged, we needed a method of accurately tracking which milking group each cow was in, using the existing electronic tags, and to be able to do a stock take, using an EID reader,” said David Kincaid of Slacks Farm.
“The FarmWizard EID reader has been tailored to do exactly what we require, and has therefore given us great piece of mind. We can account for every animal on the farm, quickly, accurately and efficiently,” he added.
“Because the FarmWizard reader can store fertility information on every animal, it has been a huge benefit to have so much more data available when reading a cow’s EID tag such as last service date, due PD date and due calving date,” said Steven McCormack Genus technician.

He continued, “These events can also be recorded on the reader, transferred to FarmWizard, and from there sent to BCMS, NMR or the parlour computer as needs be, meaning duplication is dramatically reduced.” FarmWizard dairy and beef web based software has the key benefit of genuinely saving time maintaining farm records. It is the only herd management solution that integrates fully with BCMS, Holstein UK, most milking parlours, CIS and NMR Milk records while at the same time meeting all DARD and Quality Assurance record keeping requirements. By integrating with these different systems FarmWizard eliminates duplication from farm records. Some UK beef farmers have recorded a time saving of over 6 hours per week through using FarmWizard.

It has been almost 12 months since FarmWizard began to focus efforts in providing its award winning service in Scotland, and Business Development Manager Dave Howard is keen to stress the importance of a flexible system which can respond quickly to farmers needs.
“No two farms are managed in the same way, and the goal for us is to provide each farmer with a system tailored to suit their individual needs,” said Dave.
