Bringing it all together at Barony Agricultural College

From medicine books, to milk records, pedigree herd books to parlour software, FarmWizard can handle it all at Barony Agricultural College. The easy-to-use web-based FarmWizard system was introduced in January and Farm Manager Craig Drummond can already see the benefits. “Due to the diverse nature of our livestock enterprise there is a massive amount of record keeping involved, from performance data on our beef cattle to breeding events for our dairy cows,” said Craig. Situated 8 miles outside Dumfries, Barony College offers students a wide range of experience in the day to day running of a farm which hosts 270 dairy cows, 40 suckler cows, 280 sheep and 80 red deer as well as beef produced from the dairy and suckler herds. He continued, “The FarmWizard system has enabled us to centralize all our livestock records in one place accessible from any computer in the college.
