| Ai Services (Northern Ireland) Ltd has confirmed that it is now offering a Province-wide blood sampling facility for herdowners requiring to have cattle tested for Brucellosis prior to their movement off-farm. “All our inseminators have been approved and licensed by DARD to provide the new service under the veterinary control of Mr Brian Kennedy, AI Services (NI) Ltd Veterinary Surgeon,” confirmed company Chief Executive Dr Sam Campbell. “AI Services (NI) Ltd have field staff covering every area of Northern Ireland seven days per week, and these staff can provide an extremely competitive, value for money service, by performing dual roles as Inseminator Technicians and Lay Bleeders. Indeed, there is a substantial discount for a dual purpose call, that is a blood test taken during the same visit as an insemination He added: | “Once the blood sample has been taken it is submitted to the Veterinary Laboratory for testing on behalf of the farmer, who will then receive the results by post in the normal way.” And the indications are that the new service is proving popular with farmers. “We are already dealing with several thousand samples per month from herdowners across Northern Ireland,” confirmed Sam Campbell. Sam Campbell concluded: “We are a farmer-owned business. Our role is to provide shareholders with the range of services they need to farm in the most effective way possible.
